Forbidding an entire country to look at a video or listen to music, is racism. Oddly enough, its forbidden to look at or listen to items in the internet, yet one can be legally purchased it. That fact that the governing parties, Germany for example, allows this, clearly justifies the termination of this organization and question there participation in the activities. This is not limited to Germany, other countries are doing the same. However, GEMA is the worst, and no one is stopping them. Look up the meaning of racism and compare that to how GEMA and other similar organizations handle things The Wall was removed in Germany, yet companies, like GEMA, SONY, EMI, etc, are building the wall in the internet. People need to take a stand against this new form of racism! Lawyers need to suck it up and stop assisting these companies and start filing suit against them. Until this happens, these companies will continue.

Die GEMA schützt angeblich die Rechte der Künstler. Dagegen ist im Prinzip nichts einzuwenden. Das Problem ist, das die GEMA weder Maß noch Ziel kennt und für jeden verdruckten Huster Geld haben will. Es handelt sich um eine Räuberbande, die um jeden Preis abcashen will. Das ist widerlich.

Sie machen mit ALLEM was auch nur im entferntesten mit Musik zu tun hat Geld. Und das auf kosten von uns Bürger. Ausserdem bringen sie Youtube völlig durcheinander; sie Sperren jedes Video das mit Musik zu tun hat. Die GEMA ist die Bremse der Musik-Evolution. Sie schaden den Künstler mehr, als das sie helfen. Aber die GEMA will ja auch gar nicht helfen, sie wollen nur Geld machen. Und das mit allen noch so schadenden Mitteln.

Wenn der Artist eines Liedes seinen Song auf seinem offiziellen Kanal hochläd, und das Video dann trotzdem von der GEMA keine Freigabe erhält, was soll man dann noch sagen? Ich meine sicherlich ist es vernünftig die Inhalte der Vertreiber zu schützen, aber GEMA geht einfach zu weit und nervt einfach jeden, Betreiber, Nutzer, Vertreiber, usw.

These organizations monitor how many CD copies of a song are made, how often it was played on the radio or TV and so forth - this would be impossible to do for the musicians themselves, especially with worldwide releases. That's why the composers, lyricists, publishers ENTITLED these organizations to act on their behalf. As for the GEZ issue: GEMA is not affiliated with the GEZ in any way - completely different companies with different responsibilities! Please people: Read up on that before commenting this whole thing over and over again! As for the youtube-issue: GEMA represents the composers and lyricists not the record companies. Therefor it doesn't make a difference whether or not record companies have deals with youtube to show or not show certain content as long as youtube has no deals with the GEMA. Copyright has many aspects and several have to be dealt with before something can be shown freely on the internet. You may not like it, but unless there's a new copyright deal for the digital age you'll have to live with what you get - either way: The performing rights organizations can't just NOT execute the very rights their clients (the composers, etc.) asked them to exercise. True: This is a complicated issue which surfaces in this "youtube-nutshell" but a permanent solution requires a new take on copyright within the society, forged through politics and to top it all of worldwide....

Nicht die GEMA hat die YouTube Videos gesperrt, sondern YouTube blockiert diese Video nur in Deutschland von SICH AUS , weil man mit der GEMA sich noch nicht verhandlungseinig geworden ist über eine angemessene Vergütung für die Ausstrahlung. Genau wie Radio + TV müssen auch Videokanäle Lizenzen bezahlen für die Ausstrahlung. Die Künstler, Autoren und schlussendlich auch die Rechteinhaber müssen ihren fairen Anteil bekommen. Es ist also kein GEMA_Block, sondern YOUTUBE-Bann aus finanziellen Gründen
