Ghostly claims to protect the user from pop-ups. But, when you click their link, Ghostery's pitch is to site owners not those of us questing the web. But it performs like malware: the link in the top right hand corner of the offending pop-up, promises to rid you of this objectionable "stalking". But, when you land on their page, you are warned that clicking anywhere are the page implies your consent to the installation of their cookies. If you require more information, there is a link in the bottom right hand corner titled, "Cookie Consent" that will explain what you have just done to yourself by clicking that link.

The IE extension is impossible to uninstall through conventional method (Uninstaller & Program & Features) on my fresh Windows 8.1 x64. You have to remove it via a tool called AdwCleaner which is specialized in removing adware and PUP. Not only Ghostery IE not working with IE x64 with Enhanced Protected Mode, it's also a hassle to removed. This is unacceptable and unethical in my book.
