I love this site, they giveaway licensed software you would otherwise have to buy and you can get links to many good freeware alternatives if you don't like any days giveaway and there are plenty of reviews of the software from users and techies alike.
Provided a false link for the download of a hard to find piece of freeware that redirected me to another site which promotes a Registry Cleaner program that you must purchase for effectual use. Page also contained a sneaky pop-up ad for another program that you must purchase that was able to bypass my Ad Blocker plugin for Firefox. Unsure of other site details, but the false lead & redirecting link make me very suspicious.
Good for free software programs. 1 only Free program per Day. All are commercial programs, normally would have to be purchased. Helpful website if you have a problem.
"Ethical issues"? Sorry, no category stating 'Links to unsafe websites or software providers'!
31st May 2010: The page parked at giveawayoftheday.com stated "Now Giveaway of the Day users are eligible for FREE scan for Windows errors"
Unfortunately, this links to liutilities.com !
http://www.liutilities.com
The main reason for this site is attract you into downloading known programs which have a special (GiveAwayOfTheDay sponsored) "candy" embedded, namely malware or spyware !
he forces to download and install a software to search windows errors
