The Maharishi school has won more "Critics Choice" awards in the Theater Arts than any other school in the history of Iowa. The school has also won 41 state championships in Odyssey of the Mind and more Designation ImagiNation competitions than any other school in the state. The school won the Global Finals of Destination Imagination three times and has had more top-ten finishes than any other school in the world. For three years in a row, the Maharishi School students have won first place in the Congressional High School Art Contest. In the field of photography, they regularly sweep the awards in the Iowa Educational Media Association.

I get the feeling WOT is a suspect rating system. It makes no sense at all that this excellent site should be down rated. I am familiar with the educational methods used at this school and have studied the related research. Ignore junk ratings. This is an excellent school.

My daughter went to Maharishi School, and then went on to study at one of the best liberal arts colleges schools in the US (Smith). The graduates of this school almost exclusively go on to top schools, but more important enter them with an education that is more rounded in that their practice of meditation and yoga has enabled them to be more integrated, self-assured and healthy and thereby poised to do great things for humanity. The website reflects this well.

The Maharishi School of Fairfield Iowa has the HIGHEST TEST SCORES and OVER ALL EDUCATIONAL RATING OF ALL IOWA SCOOLS and MOST IN THE MIDWEST ! On what basis do you rate it as Very poor ? I question the ethics of WOT and the people or conservative organizations that founded it !

Fabulous school. My niece and nephew attended this school. I have seen so many kids grow in self- confidence and simultaneously compassion for others. Very beautiful, nourishing environment. It's a 'must visit' if you are traveling through the MidWest.

This is an excellent site explaining the benefits of Transcendental Meditation in education and showing the results obtained in a large school in Iowa. We have a similar school in the UK showing equally outstanding results which have been rated as such by the UK school inspectors Ofsted. It seems that some people have been going to every Transcendental Meditation website on the internet and giving them all a low rating. Whatever one's views on Transcendental Meditation there is no doubt that this site gives extremely useful information backed up by research published in reputable scientific journals and vetted through objective, scientific peer review. It seems very dishonest for those who have personal objections to TM to give a low rating to these sites simply because of the subject matter, and shows them to be very dishonest and irrational. TM is simple, natural and highly effective. I have 40 years experience of it and have taught 1000s of people who report the same practical benefits. It is proving to be a wonderful educational tool that improves academic performance, reduces stress and the children love it too.

Our children have attended this school for over two years. We've found the education to be top-notch, training students to think out of the box and achieve high levels of success with low level of stress. the student body is very diverse - from over 30 countries.
