Superhero; the FDA is a joke run by the drug companies....please
cOg; who cares what the BBB says.....what a joke
The rest of you people who don't like this site. If you don't like it, don't go to it. Your problem is you want us to think like you think. If you want to live short, unhealthy lives believing the mainstream medical opinions, that is up to you. The rest of us choose to listen to both sides. Your way of doing things seems kind of undemocratic.....not very american of you!.....lol
Visit the web site and decide for yourself. Great information that many medical drs. won't tell you because it doesn't make them any money. If you stay healthy, they (drs and pharacutical companies) don't make money. Take charge of your own heath, educate yourself, and don't live at the mercy of drs.
I like this site because Dr. Mercola reviews various articles, studies, products, and practices. He quotes or gives the entire overview, then critiques or applauds as he feels appropriate. I have gleaned great amounts of useful information from this site and consider it one of the best on the Internet.
This is an excellent site which does not perpetrate scams on people. I have ordered products before and you can verify the various certifications (like Good Manufacturing Practise certificates), organic certification, etc., online. You do not have to buy anything from the website to use it as a source of information to stay up to date on the world of alternative medicine and the disaster known as allopathic medicine. More and more people are waking up all the time to the "health industry" and just because the corrupt organization known as the "FDA" has warned Mercola about his products doesn't mean they're safe. The FDA is a puppet for the pharmaceutical industry. Take Vioxx for example, what natural healthy supplement has killed 60,000 people that was "fast-tracked" for approval by the FDA?
I have read some of the outdated comments, and they are false. This site is rated A- at time of posting by BBB. Yes, you will find plenty of negative write ups about his site, but consider the sources, they are all pro Food and Drug Administration sites, and pro drug, vaccines and fluoride sites, who naturally will try to discredit him. There are plenty of sites out there for those that are willing to search instead of drinking the FDA cool aid, that backup Dr. Mercola's findings. But to rate him poorly and untrustworthy in WoT merely because you disagree with him is slanderous.
I must agree with "Myxt"
After my heart attack my doctor recommended statins "for the rest of your life". Dr. Mercola described the side effects of statins in one of his articles sufficiently to dissuade me from following my doctor's advice. Instead I began using other recommendations of Dr. Mercola and I just celebrated my second anniversary free of any heart problems and free of statins! "
Another website that confuses and frightens people who have never heard a discouraging word about pharmaceuticals, vaccines, the "food pyramid" and so on. For people who bother to actually do their own research, this site can be a useful resource, among many others.
This website contains deceptive content. They lie about medicine and health issues and try to deceive their users with psuedoscience, so you will buy their vitamin/mineral pills.
This is Dr. Joseph Mercola's official web site, offering his views and products according to alternative / natural medicine.
This site does present pop-ups, but you can easily close them without being "forced" to do anything. The site is safe to visit.
As of the date of this comment, Dr. Mercola's business has an "A-" rating by the U.S. Better Business Bureau.
This is a well known medical quack site. Joe Mercola continues to make false and misleading (as well as illegal) health claims about his supplements. Additionally there is published mostly material/advice that is unsubstantiated, mis-represented, or disproven. Typically his fault is mistaking causation for correlation (two very different things). Steer well clear from this advice if you're looking to get healthy.
For about 9 or ten years of receiving information from this proactive doctor, there have been nothing but well researched articles. The natural and organic bent of the information represents a threat to the income of the part of our medical system that treats symptoms for dollars. It is a matter of choice for anyone to decide whether they seek a lifestyle solution or a quick temporary fix that leads to more dependency. Regarding the request to join - they have never shared my email without my express say so. It is simply good defense for their site.
Since I live on a different continent to Dr Mercola, I cannot comment on the sales aspects of his site- only the information his organisation presents.
As a person who recovered from his terminal cancer by alternative means, I am aware that much health information of potential benefit to individuals is not made widely available- either to the medical profession of to individuals. This also applies also to many studies regarding dangers of medical treatments, prescription drugs etc. Iatragenesis is a major cause of death in the US and is likely to be here the UK.
Much information regarding such issues is in the public domain, yet does not reach the mainstream media. One small example: The highly regarded Cochrane Report stated recently that flu vaccination is beneficial in one percent of cases yet here in the UK and also in the US flu vaccination is official policy and its ineffectiveness doesn't reach the general public.
Dr Mercola's site is to be applauded for providing heaqlth information with which people can make informed choices. The information it publishes is usually from reputable sources. Dr Mercola also provides a forum for members to add their own comments. As could be expected, these cover a variety of viewpoints.
