I have been harassed several times on this site, from the owner to it's user community. I would not recommend this website to anyone who doesn't like to be cyber bullied.

Rivr is a great site, anyone who says otherwise is just upset that they were suspended for going against the ToS

The current poor comments are obviously spam. There has been no disrespect or racism on Rivr.

I personally don't know of any either, but if there has been I apologise profusely. Rivr is now owned by me, and there has been a entire staff overhaul. The issue arose due to teenage disputes I believe, so now all of my staff, with 1 exception, are 18+. Thanks for the good review!
Has great potential, but the staff does not seem to have proper standards in treating their users. There should be either some community guidelines or change in staff members. It makes a social network look really bad when the owners disrespect their users, for any reason.
This might be a personal issue, but I was surprised from the bad ratings on WOT. I hope they don't ignore the bad ratings and do something about it (yes I know the solution is not easy to come by).
Like I said though, great potential. Would be a nice alternative to Facebook and Twitter despite the issues.

I am the new owner of Rivr and there has been an entire staff overhaul, so I invite you back. A lot of fuss has been made over the transition, but you will no longer see staff in petty arguments, and all staff are now 18+, except our server technician who is 17, but very skilled. I apologise profusely for any previous issues you may have had, and I hope you do not tar the new management with the same brush.

Independent alternative to more popular social networking sites, originally coded by 15-year-old Sam Jesso as 'Cloudica'. Small, but loyal user base. As with all social networking sites, caution should always be employed in divulging Personally Identifiable Information.

Rivr was actually a complete rewrite based on the concept of cloudica, but no code was reused. Rivr has now been expanded upon greatly from what Sam originally coded, and as the new owner I'd like to invite you back to check them out! Thanks for good review!

I reserve judgment as to how deserved previous reviews have been, as I do not know of peoples individual problems personally, but as the new owner of rivr I have taken every step to ensure there are no repeats of anything that may have happened in the past.
