Unreliable ratings, but might be worth checking for a second opinion. It had information on sites that were bad and WOT did not have, but also gave WOT a bad rating. In the end, not reliable but my experience with the site is limited. Comments by others are more negative and apparently better informed.
This site rates websites without being able to check them for content. The so called domain analysis for country specific domains are done on the top level ccTLD and not the actual domain. A newly registered domain is shown as 22yrs+ on the site, but is actually less than a year old. Then they turn out to be 419 scams on top of it all. Real exspurt.
mortgatefinance.co.za trusted as per scamadviser.com, domain 22 yrs old etc. In reality mortgatefinance.co.za is recently registered domain and ample hits on Google shows it's usage to be fraudulent. Bad advice, poor tools given by scamadviser.com
(mortgatefinance.co.za is part of a 419 syndicate's domain portfolio and is being addressed.)
This site is downright dangerous. I've been comparing with scams I deal with for termination. Invariably the sites are listed with a high safe rating. Any party seeking guidance and coming across scamadviser.com will be severely misguided and defrauded!
I can see why people are tripping balls about this site but they have a nice analysis of the websites they scan. I don't completely trust what they say but it's a nice way to find a lot information in one spot. It has the website location, the owner info, how old is the website, was the account made with free email accounts....etc. This is really useful. Use with caution. They even offer a nice explanation about why some sites get different ratings. People need to read for god's sake.
