There is no such gender as "gay," A person is either a man or a woman, and if any one preaches against the sin of SODOMY does not mean they are hateful. Homophobia is a made up word.., just as are the words, gay, homosexual, lesbian, etc (LGBTQ) are man-made words which are used to make sin seem okay. Look up the definition of the word "phobia" before you accuse a person of having any kind of man-made psychological maladies, which a phobia is. Nobody fears sodomites just because they don't agree with the sin of sodomy. Read your Bible. God Himself called these people sodomites.
