This is a legit company that provides tech support for many companies. The best way to describe what most of the company does is work from home providing assistance to assigned clients. For most companies we provide support for we don't not state they are calling our company per agreements with the said companies we perform work for. This is not a scam company. We are not fake Microsoft techs, nor do we claim to be Microsoft techs. While most of our work is doing work for other clients, we do have a small group of people that cover branded support.com services. The techs in the company provide over the phone support and use proprietary software to remotely connect to your computer and fix computer issues. While there is some issues the company can't fix (like your drive getting encrypted with ransomware) or you forgetting your computer login password, the company does handle most issues that the average consumer would come across. In home support to my knowledge is not currently an option.

Do not trust the results of their "PC Health Check", it is a scam. Use a real Antivirus and CCleaner. Quote "Support.com, a company that along with partner AOL agreed to pay $8.5 million in 2013 to settle a lawsuit alleging that they misrepresented the results of free malware scans and then charged fees to fix the non-existent infections." *****

Been working with this company a few days now. If you have Comcast, TWC, Etc. and use the support services that's this company. This is not spam and the website is safe. You may get disgruntled employee or customers that review this as bad but they are 100% legit and legal based in Redwood, CA.

EDIT: Currently, their main focus is Xfinity Signature Support which is a service offered through Comcast. Comcast is currently the largest cable/broadband provider in the Unites States. As a side note: People who are claiming to be receiving spam from support.com should take into consideration that the from address can be "spoofed" in emails. If an email has a spoofed from address, it will typically be marked as spam, which may lead to you thinking it's spam sent from support.com when it may be sent from some malicious 3rd party using the domain as a guise. Here's a little info: ***** Another important note: If someone calls YOU, it's not support.com. Support.com receives calls from customers. If you've received a call from "support.com," it's probably a scam and not related to the actual business of support.com. Ask if you can call them back, and don't use a number the caller gives you. Use the number on the website. If you don't have a subscription with support.com, there is no reason you should be receiving a call from them. As a general rule of security/safety, always ask if you can call them with important calls (Caller ID can be spoofed very easily). Final note: "Support.com" is a common domain name used by scammers. This does not mean they own the domain; this means they recognize it's a domain name for a company that provides costumer support, and they use that to their advantage.
