Browser Hijacker! False link at 'Conservative News site' went through redirects sending me to a 'Windows Warning site' that did the Hijack (7 offered to 'scan & clean my machine for $$$).. I reported those sites involved to appropriate 'Authorities' that will Blacklist it. The 'News' site is reported for Abuse to its Registrar which may cancel/close it if it is not 'cleaned-up quickly. While here at MyWot, I checked-out several Profiles of the folks who claim SwagBucks is legitimate survey site. Funny, thing is, the Raters\/Reviewers Registered then Rated/Reviewed then disappeared all on the same day! Most have not Rated/Reviewed anything since. those who have been back resemble 'shills' working for the sites they rated! If I am incorrect in my estimation of such 'Community Members' please set-me-straight. IMHO, any business that uses 'Associates' to spamvertise it or to Hijack your Browser is to be avoided. Do not complain when you get 'disappointed' expecting them to honor agreements & awards!

Swagbucks is a site that allows you to provide views to content and fill out surveys for points that can be used towards various rewards. I've been a Swagbucks user for over 4 years now, and my experience has been pretty good so far. However, there are some instances where Swagbucks does not check the content it gives to its users, resulting in direction to websites that force users to download malware/adware using repeated popups and dialogue boxes.

Prodege/Swagbucks is the worst of the rewards websites out there. Stay away from this scam. The website started going downhill fast, after Chuck Davis took over. They have become greedy scammers. They deactivate accounts for reasons, which are not listed in the TOS, without any warning, notification, or explanation. When you contact them, you get a canned copy and paste reply from them saying that you violated the TOS. No human ever reads the support tickets, and you’ll never get a human reply. They want to make a bigger profit each month, and have a set amount of accounts to deactivate to reach that. They have malicious ads all over the website. You need a good anti-virus, just to browser the website. Nearly all offers lead to malware or scams. They pay much less for the same surveys that other websites have. Never install their browser add-ons, as they are spyware and will monitor everything you do in your browser. This website cannot be trusted! Stay away and do not sign up!

Swagbucks is nothing but a lie, a scam, and a waste of time. I used their search engine for several months because I figured I could click on their ads and earn points to get rewards. Well I did just that and ordered a reward which I rightfully verified and deserved and they cancelled it on me claiming that I never verified it. So I deleted my account. I'm not supporting a scamming site.

This website gives you points for doing things such as watching video and doing surveys, which you can redeem for rewards (gift cards are the most popular ones). But a lot of the offers on here are scams. I don't know why Swaybacks allows it. Just sign up with an alias email and use that email for everything on this site, otherwise you'll start getting a lot of spam emails. It's very easy to get points, surveys are the easiest way. But trying to find a survey you qualify for takes a lot of time. Sometimes you'll think you're almost done with a 20 minute survey, then it'll say you didn't qualify for the survey.

Okay the site itself is straight forward, however any iteration be it unsubscribing from the site itself is done by third party sourcing leaving you to the terms of that provider be it additional swag points to removing your account. Leaving you open to malware, hijack-ware, data mining, key logging the works. Meaning a dummy e-mail will not mitigate the problem, so user beware.

Swagbucks itself is a legitimate site that does payout it rewards in a timely manner. The reason I would tell people to be cautious is the third party sites that SB works with are not always the most trustworthy. One issue I see with them are the trackers, scripts and random downloads they request from you. Personally I will not complete any task given to me that requires me to download anything. And because SB makes its money off of the trackers that companies use on you. I have to almost completely disable my security programs on Fire Fox to do many of the tasks. I'm still on the fence if I will be sticking with them. For now, I would tell all users to be careful when clicking on anything. And if WOT warns you about one of their links, DON'T GO TO IT!

I've been a user of swagbucks.com for 11 months already and I can tell you that SB is a legit company. Not all offers of its partners are in good reputation. I advise you to install an antivirus and enable the web shield so that it will alert you when a website is suspicious. Thus, you have the option to take the risk of availing the offer or not. The choice is yours. As of the moment, I already earned more than $400 of gift cards and cash via Paypal. Thanks.
