Le site touchofmodern.com est-il sûr ?

Any company that demands you create an account before browsing is phishing for your legit email address. Once they get that, they'll spam you and sell that info to others (read their TOS). Don't let them. I'm hearing the stuff is Chinese garbage anyway.

They won't even let you browse their site (which is an online store for furniture and home accessories) without logging in or giving personally identifying information! That is ridiculous. I found the site because they advertise and I landed on their webpage because I clicked a banner ad. I've never seen any site that won't even allow me to shop around and browse unless I log in first! EDIT: I have heard that in addition to home and office furniture, adult toy products are sold on this website. For that reason, it is not appropriate for children.

Awesome alternative items. Mostly for men, unisex some. They do have sex toys which I think are BLEH but I have ordered many items through this site with zero problems. I am also a women who enjoys new and ingenious inventions that are American made. I give this site 4 stars and 1 neg. for the disgusting sex toys.

A while back, TOM offered me $10 off a purchase, so my family ordered a glowing Lightning cable. Shipping time is long, but the website says it's because they order products in bulk. The wire works, even with me shoving it in my backpack every day. I've seen other reviews complain the wire breaks, but I've personally had no issues with it yet despite having it for a while. The only thing about it is that it doesn't stay in my phone well, but it stays in my iPad Mini somehow. I was required to sign up to access the site, and I do get emails from them with their products, but I just used an email address I use for spam. I put "be cautious" for suitability for children simply because of the occasional sale of lingerie and adult toys. On the FAQ about having to register: "In order to offer the lowest possible prices, we are required to be a members only site by a large number of our designers. This allows us to list great products for the community while keeping our designers happy. It’s the same reason why you need to show your membership card before you walk into Costco, even if you aren’t buying anything."

These guys just want your email address so they can spam and scam you. Note that they don't allow product reviews on the products. The products are actually sold by other vendors. They also charge you for returning items. I'm glad I only lost 10 bucks.

If a site requires you provide your e-mail address after you linked on a banner link on a another site to find out what is wonderful product you are offering, I get suspicious. I feel abused for clicking on the link, inticed by their interesting ads, only to be blocked with a "Enter your email for immediate access" or login with facebook (something I am doing less and less these days). I want to support other websites by clicking on their ads, but links like this remind me why I started using Adblock in the first place.

Which of course sounds nothing like how a legitimate and reputable company would/should do business!
