Le site trustico.com est-il sûr ?

Sending customers' TLS private keys over email as Trustico did recently is unacceptable and unimaginable for any reasonable company in the information security market. Trustico had betrayed the trust of their clients and forced them to seek urgent certificate replacement, risking service disruption on their websites.

I have used these guys for years and for numerous certificates and I'm surprised by the WoT rating. Sure they're a no-frills outfit with no-frills prices, but they have been very reliable for me. Particularly for the technically skilled, this is a great provider. If you are clueless and need a lot of handholding, then perhaps there are better places to go. If you want to get certificates without wasting time and money, this is a really good choice.

I was referred to this site by a colleague who does a LOT of web hosting for hist clients. I've been using Trustico's SSL for two years and was about to renew for a third (still am) when I ran into the WoT warning. I suspect the ratings are skewed, possibly by competitors and their shills, given the lack of actual comments citing specific issues. This company has delivered working SSL certificates for me for two domains for two years running, and I've never had a single issue. They do what they should, they don't bother me, and I have zero issues with them. Go to VeriSign if you want to pay through the nose for an overrated name whose legitimacy has gone through the floor over the last decade ,IMNSHO. GoDaddy had more issues than Trustico, last time I used their SSL interface--and was higher priced at the time. There's a reason I moved to Trustico, and I don't regret it one bit.

I do not agree with the comment made regarding support. That is complete nonsense! I work for Trustico support and we provide Live Chat, E Mail support AND Telephone support. Feel free to test it! I get excellent feedback from our customers daily about what a friendly, helpful and efficient customer support department we have so I must point this out on behalf of all my colleagues who do a fantastic job everyday!
