This company will promise a free account for access to an online video database. There is no free account, maybe there isn't even a movie database. After my wife signed up for the free account, she received an email which stated that if she didn't cancel, she'd be charged monthly, no amount was specified. During the whole account creation process there was no mention of any charge or how much they secretly intended to charge. She immediately canceled the account after receiving the email. They charged her credit card $39.95 about 10 days after she cancelled the account. We didn't even know she got charged until our bank statement showed a mysterious entry listed as "MovieEase.com". The phone number listed on the transaction was incomplete, missing the last digit, as you would expect with a scam. I have now researched the company and found many complaints and poor ratings that have confirmed this to be a scam. In the end, we canceled our credit card and filed a dispute with our issuing bank. Be advised: Research any website's unknown to you before entering a credit card number. The 5 minutes you spend searching the internet is way less than the hours necessary for filing a claim, cancelling your credit card, and then writing negative reviews to try and help other people.

My credit card company asking me about this spending,I know from the beginning of December they have deducted my monthly $ 49.99, this is a totally unfriendly website for non-English-speaking people I found Videostripe's online talk. I explained to the man about the unauthorized charges, He only gave me their Code Section 6, which will show whether the circumstances are refused a refund I hate this website. This is a terrible scam

I never had any problems, there is a small 2 dollar charge when you sign up for the free trial in order to verify your credit card. I signed up, looked for movies, saw none I was interested in, and immediately cancelled the account. I'll update my review if any other charges show up, but so far it's a legit site, and customer service is very readily accessible.

Today I saw a pending charge of $49.99 on my card, and then found Videostripe's toll free number online (1-800-519-4199). I explained to the polite gentleman about the unauthorized charges, and he said he would be glad to reverse them but needed my card number. I told him I wouldn't give my card number over the phone, and that I could provide my email address or name so he could trace my "account". He said the only way to "find me" would be with my card number. I again said no way, and he said I should call my bank and have them look into the charges, which I said I would do. Again - the guy was pleasant enough and didn't seem pushy to get my card info... it still didn't seem right that the only way they could locate my alleged account was from my credit card number. Called my card issuer, and they immediately raised up the fraud flag... transferred me to security, and they confirmed it was likely a scam - and that they have had several complaints about Videostripe and unauthorized charges. So now, I'm getting a new card number issued and the charges reversed. Probably a good thing since I've had my existing card number for ages, and it's everywhere. Check your transactions often!!
