Le site virtualrewardcenter.com est-il sûr ?

I had received an email from "virtualrewardcenter.com" that went straight into my "Updates" tab on Gmail. Subject was "Congratulations! You are receiving a Virtual Reward" from "The Virtual Reward Center <reward@virtualrewardcenter.com>" with the body of the email reading : "RewardCenter Congratulations! You are receiving a Virtual Reward Dear Survey, You are receiving a $10.00 *****® Gift Card, available for use at *****. Redeem My Reward! If you need assistance, please contact us at support@virtualrewardcenter.com" I checked it out through MyWoT, with only two experiences from it posted from 2014, and 2016. I decided to take the plunge on a throw away computer incase there was anything suspicious, and went to the website from the link on "Redeem My Reward!", to which directed to me click the link again on the webpage, which gave me the following : "Your reward is ready... You are receiving a $10 ***** Gift Card, available for use exclusively at Amazon.com Instructions to activate your reward. <Amazon Gift Card Code : K75R-ZMKR67-J3CK> Go to eGift Card <a link to amazon.com, presumably to auto-activate the code for you.> Having trouble? Please be sure to turn off all browser pop-up blockers prior to clicking the above button." I did not click on the "Go to eGift Card" link, however activated the code through Amazon.com on another computer separate from the one I was redeeming from the email. The code checked out, and was for $10 Amazon credit. I don't recall doing any survey that sent out a $10 gift card for Amazon, but hey, $10 is $10. Again, it was vague. VERY vague, but it checked out.

I did some beta testing for an Intuit online product (mint.com). They said at the end of the web session that they would be sending me something to thank me for my help. That was the only thing that made me think the email from virtualrewardcenter.com might be legit. And it was. But the email itself was so vague - didn't mention Intuit at all - so that it seemed like it was a phishing scam. But it actually was legit and it resulted in a $100 gift visa prepaid card. So I'm thrilled to get it but this site needs to do a better job on their outreach. Unless they get paid whether the customer collects or not!
