Le site webring.com est-il sûr ?

I am a long-standing user of Webring, and have done my best over the years to have trust in it, as it is basically such an excellent idea. However, over the years I got very little traffic to my five sites from the rings of which my sites were members, despite each of those sites of mine having a fair number of ring memberships. I noticed too that issues on the site in recent years have been fixed tardily or not at all, and, as a Premium (paid) member with a personal Webring representative, that rep NEVER responded to any messages I sent asking questions or reporting issues. Very recently I saw that I had (allegedly) no credit left for my Premium membership, and so added a fair dollop of credit (over a year's worth) - only to regret it within weeks as I investigated more carefully and found that Webring was simply hardly functioning at all, except for collecting money from its (sorry to say!) duped 'Premium' members. If I go to any of the rings that one of my sites belongs to, and click on the ring's entry for my site, I am NOT sent to my site, but to another, intermediate, sort-of webring site, whose name is according to its subject area such as Artn'Artists or Yourtakeonspirituality, and so on. Then, when I click on a site's entry there, instead of simply going to that site another page of the intermediate ring or hub tries to open but simply times out or returns a page-not-found or other error. That has been consistent since I started testing this. So, no wonder I get almost no Webring-sourced traffic on my sites! I reported the issue to Webring support as well as my personal rep, and heard nothing. It's now a few weeks since I sent a repeat message to Webring support, and still no response. It is clear that, for all practical purposes, Webring is DEAD apart from its collecting money from unsuspecting hopefuls who have been led to think that their website(s) would get useful exposure and increased traffic through Webring. The sordid truth is that for practical purposes the site is nowadays a SCAM, even though (to be charitable), let us assume that this is though culpable negligence rather than active attempt to deceive people out of their hard-earned money. I now have the unenviable task of trying to get my money back. No doubt at all any such request or even demand or threat of mine would be ignored just as my recent messages to Support have been. It's therefore time for the Webring site to be closed down, or at the very least its collection of Premium membership fees to be stopped, as they are nowadays a compete rip-off. Update, 2 January 2017 When I checked my PayPal payments to Webring I found their admin e-mail address, which isn't available on their site, so I've sent them an ultimatum. If they don't respond and refund my recent two payments, I shall be onto PayPal for a chargeback. Sad that one should have to go to such lengths for what had been such a good service once upon a time.
