Le site wikipedia.org est-il sûr ?

Wikipedia is AWESOME! I've spent countless hours reading about the most random things. It's just an endless resource for information that is instantly updated as the world changes and new information is available. While there are occasional inaccuracies, the system in place to monitor these inaccuracies is as good as it could possibly be and I find the site fairly accurate from a macro perspective. It's really just a fun site to get lost in.

I think that Wikipedia is a fairly good site to rely on for information. It is true that people can edit the stuff on Wikipedia, however, if the information is not accurate, it is not accepted. I tried to edit a page once with the correct information, and i got my account taken down. So I believe that Wikipedia is very reliable.

Pros- Wikipedia has all the info i can't find on other websites. Very accurate info most the time. Wikipedia goes through many security steps to ensure the accuracy of their information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Protection_policy#semi Wikipedia says when the info may be inaccurate. I've trusted Wikipedia for years of research and it has never failed me. Cons- If you search for adult content you will get it cause Wikipedia is an open source of all human knowledge. no adult content on this link, but the links from this link may contain content. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia#Sexual_content. It is the same as if you are doing a Google search, but it comes up instantly on the screen. My personal thought is that Wikipedia needs to address this problem with a warning screen before some of these pages for younger people. Again Wikipedia has this info and all info cause its goal is to have all human knowledge at our finger tips.
