WOT users only need to do a small bit of research to find this comment is completely unsubstantiated. "SingaporeSling" has made only two comments on WOT: one brandishing Wikivoyage as a clone, and one saying how amazing Wikitravel is- a clear conflict of interest. In response: 1. Wikivoyage administrators have a number of policies in place to ensure the community functions well. All users are welcome to voice their opinion and we never delete comments. At Wikitravel, censorship is rampant and the paid employees of IB delete any sign of discontent or requests for technical assistance. 2. Wikivoyage receives more edits on average than Wikitravel, and has a larger contributor base backed up by Wikipedia. This equates to more up-to-date content and better written guides overall.

I would like to remind WOT users that "WorldTravelller" is an IB employee, the competitor that runs the out-of-date Wikitravel. I think the large number of negative votes on this user's comment speaks for itself. The banners he refers to only appear for a few weeks each year, asking for voluntary donations to the charity that runs Wikivoyage, and may be easily switched off using the [x]. Wikitravel commercial advertisements are both in the sidebar and strewn across destination pages as a booking engine. They can only be disabled after you've registered for an account.
