there needs to be an 18+ segment with sweeping of all videos with explicit sex and nudity to this partition. Then, this portion of youtube can be blocked so that children don,t get access to it. Currently, Google is very lax regarding this. There is a lot of S.e. Asian mainstream porn out there on Youtube

YouTube is in general a very safe site and a fantastic source for free videos of every kind. You can guarantee that whatever you're after, you'll find a video on it. Tutorials, political commentary, news or hobbies. It'll probably be here.   However the content is not curated by YouTube itself and any user is free to upload anything they like providing it's not heavily illegal, pornographic etc.  This makes the website safe for kids with parental supervision but perhaps not great for a solo browsing session. There is a 'family mode' but I personally never trust those things to catch 100% of the videos you might not want your child to see.  There are many videos with many misleading claims, scams or just straight lies. Views ranging from science videos from reputable sources to videos from amateur conspiracy theorists who claim the moon is a hologram. It really runs the gambit on all topics so don't take anything from here as straight fact. Keep in mind the vast majority of videos are simply amateur opinions from Google scholars. Always do your own research. Some videos may have ads at the start, in the middle or at the end. Sometimes a combination of these or all of them. Some also are ad-free. Depends on if the user has monetised the video.

Отличный сайт, другого такого точно нет (хотя и есть подражатели) из минусов - частенько надоедающая реклама, порой ее реально много и не к месту. А так же имеет место быть видео сомнительного содержания. Из плюсов - ютуб соблюдает права правообладателей видеоматериалов. Детям там лучше все-таки быть под присмотром родителей, видео там может попасться всякое
