The few people who said this site isn't free are totally WRONG! It clearly says you can pay if you want to download the ENTIRE font collection at one time. Otherwise, you can select any and as many fonts as you'd like and download them individually FOR FREE. I've done it several times and have never had any trouble with this site, nor have I ever had to pay to use it.

Very good site; the fonts are high quality and there are lots of them! For example, the Halo 3 font is virtually identical to the font on the game boxes/etc.

Recently I reinstalled Windows and one of the first "chores" on my list is to go to 1001 fonts as I have done before, and replenish my font archive. I will download from 100 to 200 fonts, as I did the last time, which will cost me nothing and is extremely easy to do. There is no cost, no problems and the negative voices saying there is must be referring to some other place.

Say they are free. They aren't. You have to pay something else to be able to open the fonts. Big fat liars.
