Bilibili is a Nico-like website in which users are free to share videos and comments. It is in China and most users are Chinese. As an uploader for many years, I have some words to say. Historically Bilibili was ACG(Animes, Comics, Games)-themed. Hence most videos were from Japan. Bilibili kept closed to this ACG circle until it became open to register in 2013. Reluctantly, it is a trending that increasing young people in China are getting involved with Bilibili. As a result, the crowded atmosphere becomes secularized and even vulgar, while the original ACG culture becomes marginalized. The administration of Bilibili is not nice or user-friendly. For example, Bilibili kicked out influential uploaders for commercial reasons. Bilibili has zero tolerance on any political comments. The user interface is not well designed or implemented. The uploaders may have very bad experience when contributing an upload. For this aspect nothing seems to get better. Bilibili is highly controversial on copyright issues. Most non-original animes on Bilibili are not copyright-protected. All videos in Bilibili are not rated. Hence many of them may not be suitable for children. Thus I give 4 out of 5 for the question "How suitable is the website for children?" Most information on Bilibili has reliable citation source (i.e. sm serials). However to be professional, there is also much unreliable information delivered by the uploaded videos. Be careful about the risks. Basically Bilibili is trustworthy and informative but still has many problems to fix. Wish it could be better, even though it can be very tough.
