WOT is for reviewing websites, not the underlying business. I'm reviewing the website. All those that think the food is great can write about it where that's appropriate. This isn't it. The website throws up a number of red flags. 1). It is NOT cheaper than the grocery. Food is about trust and it's hard to trust someone that starts off with a bald faced lie. 2). There are lots of freebies offered; immediate discounts, in effect. That's always a red flag. Sometimes it means the stuff is grossly overpriced, but in this case it sounds more like the start-up venture capital model that's so popular where you get venture darlings to pony up lots of cash and then set about spending it in an unsustainable way. Remember WebVan? 3). They talk WAY more about warm and fuzzy issues than the actual meals. Overmarketing usually means empty hype. The rest of the marketing is misleading. "Starting at $8.99 per serving". Yeah. How many servings, minimum? 4). They claim to ship wine, but don't tell you anything about the restrictions until you've entered all your data. They have a policy, but it is buried on the support subdomain. The wines page makes no mention. 5). I really dislike this "never ending page" format that's becoming popular. No one likes that; they must be doing it because coders told them it's hot. Bottom line, it looks like they've put most their investment in marketing and trust...well, that's somewhere down the list of priorities. Sorry, but when it comes to trusting people about where your food is coming from, that's job #1.
