I think the service is a good idea - I also accept that any scripts blocked (or not ran in any case, because a user like me is looking quick info during a terminal session and launches eLinks, a text-based product which can in theory be compiled with JavaScript support, but so limited that it's useless. Basically, eLinks has no DOM and everything that is run is run at the loading of the page - there's a time-limit after which it stops. It's useful for us "Any Browser Supported" folks who go into lengths to identify a text-based browser, which one is it and if it's an eLinks one can benefit from JavaScript support if it's there without user losing anything if it isn't.) The cookie message should show whether any scripts are allowed or not - not sure it does, I know it doesn't on all sites there are. I'm not sure I like it - it doesn't bother when it happens to me on eLinks, I doubt nobody can cause very serious privacy risks or other issues with whatever they try to do... If I was so scared, I'd set eLinks to ask for accepting every cookie - I'm not that scared, there wouldn't be many as most malicious cookies are set by frelling JavaScript code :D I don't see any problems with this. As far as I know, it would be recommended to turn it on, at least if you're on EU.
