This site is used for tracking purposes. Sometimes this can be good (I.e to warn of bad web sites) sometimes this can be more problematic. This site has not had any obvious adverse impact on my internet activity. (Not that all problems are obvious or clearly pointing to this site as the cause). So, be cautious but I trust it. This site is also NOT currently listed on HPhosts. (http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=coremetrics.com refers). This site is owned by IBM, and I can't find any adverse (Current) listings.

Poor Customer Experience if a site is so lazily-designed that it requires this to provide it's CORE functionality. Like other 'paranoid' people on here, I don't like being forced to be tracked or to run random scripts on my machine. Tolerating this is tolerating poor web design (regardless of one's opinion on the Big Data / NSA lack of democracy / Big Brother issue). If you tolerate it, it'll only get worse. These companies serve you, not the other way round.

Coremetrics blocked my access to my former credit union's website when I blocked it from running on firefox. Since I do not like "tracking" sites that force me to use them, I not longer use this credit union and I moved my money to a different CU vendor that does not force me to be "tracked". Whether it is good or bad tracking is not relevant, the fact that I was forced to be tracked is the issue. I rate that as a BAD site.

I use Firefox with the add-on NoScript to keep sites from running scripts without my approval. I just discovered that I can't view the "Quick View" for products on ***** so I temporarily allow the scripts just so I can see the product info. I will not permanently allow the scripts to run since it appears, from what others are saying, that it spies on your web browsing.
