As a bottom-left and Green Party advocate, the DPP's ideals are very parallel to mine. I do not wish for Taiwan to reunify under the "One Country, Two Systems" bill because the bill only fully protects Taiwan from communist suppression for 50 years. After 50 years of unification, the CCP can do what it wants to do with Taiwan, such as forcing authoritarian, fascist rule over the people. Independence is an ideal option and the UN and the US need to stop holding back from the CCP and stand up for democracy no matter what types of suppression the CCP may try to diffuse as a result. Ban Ki-Moon has rejected Taiwan's request for a seat in the United Nations several times as a result of a Chinese veto and negative, communist suppression. I support the DPP's goals of economic equality and social freedom! As an American, I have gotten to taste democracy and it indeed tastes good, although we do have draconian copyright laws and NSA surveillance. But, our country is still 100 times better than the PRC, and I hope that Taiwan will be able to enjoy its democracy until the end of the world. Democracy Is Awesome!
