Apple is a company that you can trust. This site is clearly just a technical site where users can view, assess and then choose to download an extension to improve their Safari extension.
The suitability, security and privacy issues are where the trust that we have with Apple becomes important. Effectively Apple is the 'gatekeeper' for these extensions. As end-users we do not know if the extension is safe, so we have to trust Apple to do that validation for us. Personally, I trust Apple to do that for me although some would say that I am naive.
