ez-download.comは安全ですか？

I accidentally used this site to download Firefox and what I got was a version with a malware search engine pre-installed. Additionally the browser was hacked to prevent changing it. I had to uninstall it and went to ***** to get the genuine article. Unfortunately, this site is at the top of the search results - NOT Mozilla.org!!

Before downloading from ez-download.com, I ran Malwarebytes and my PC was fine. After I downloaded it, I started having problems and ran Malwarebytes again. It found 20 infected items that all came back to this site. After removing ***** firefox from my PC, deleting the quarantined items, restarting my PC and installing firefox from Mozilla.org, my PC has been fine.

A bit of an update on that misleading ad campaign these guys got going on, they're luring people in with a phony Firefox download to push their Optimum Installer now. Long story short tell your friends to read the name of the website very carefully before visiting if they google anything Firefox related. Particularly if they're using IE and are trying to switch to Firefox.
