Despite all its advantages as a social networking site, it is NOTORIOUS of of its disregard of privacy (o p e n l y s t a t e d by its founder Mark Zuckerberg) - your personal information, gathered from your psots, uploads and by IP and networking tests, stays deposited on the servers after account deletion. It also does not control its content, allowing users to (insert conservative rant). Although they are trustworthy and reliable, privacy is an all-time low among social sites and child safety might sometimes be low.
External applications that you can add to your profile take information from you without giving full details of what is being taken. your details are then sold on. The pictures and all kind of information are stored on the servers of facebook even you delete them which can be annoying
A site for people to communicate with each other on. If you know or have a younger child or sibling, like ages 10 - 14, that use this site, you may (just maybe) experience a weird(funny, sad, enraging, etc.) event concerning them and their Facebook page.
unsafe for the kiddies, spammy.
you can find nudity/violence, terrorist pages that call for killing of civilians, need I continue or no one really takes a minute to think?
ok, it's a wonderful site, but it also crappy side, like privacy is shot and really unsafe for kids.
While the latest terms and agreements for using the site have changed (now Facebook officially owns anything you post, including personal pictures), I still like the idea of Facebook in that it really unifies global communities under a technological concept, a concept most human beings take for granted.
Facebook is also the main reason I procrocrastinate on homework hahaha.
