Facebook's owner, Mark Zuckerberg, has publicly stated his belief that users do not care about privacy, and Facebook behaves accordingly. I do not trust Facebook with personal information beyond what they absolutely require to create an account.
Facebook has a long record of playing fast and loose with users' data, and they have only improved privacy issues when forced to by market pressure, or legal means.
Big Sites like this are generally rated Super Excellent on myWOT and I don't know the reason behind this when I know that everyone knows that the Big Site like FB doesn't protect your privacy. They sell your privacy and confidential information to any Big interested third Party without your confirmation. Many games and applications on this website start using your email ID to send you spam emails. I created a brand new email ID and joined Only FB with that ID to confirm this word of mouth and I got the answer. Many third Parties, Big third Parties, were knowing that email ID with all the details I did provide in that email ID and the inbox was full of spam emails.
So, when there is no trustworthy Privacy protection and this is in knowledge of most of the people as I noticed on different forums, then how can they score 85+ or 90+ on all four elements of myWOT ranking meter?
I always doubt moderators like myWOT or any-other similar. I am not criticizing them but this is a fact that we rarely find an impartial and unbiased Moderator.
It's a shame that they KEEP your's details even after deleting an account. I would like to quit FB but then I will lost contact with some friends of mine...
Just remember everybody who complains about privacy. WHAT YOU PUT ON THE INTERNET STAYS ON THE INTERNET YOU IDIOTS!!!!Now that that is cleared out, FACEBOOK IS AN AWESOME WEBSITE!!
While it is a great place to chat with others, the apps sometimes aren't what they say they are... Same way with some of the links - One of which asks you to install a 'dislike button' which doesn't even exist, and ends up taking you to a malicious site. Other than that, It's completely safe!
