This website, fafsa.com, is a scam. It gets people who were looking for the legitimate website, fafsa.gov, and makes them pay for the FAFSA application which is available 100% free at fafsa.gov.
BEWARE: FAFSA.COM is *not* not the official loan site ***** and there is a fee to apply and process your loan. They are a for-profit business. FAFSA/SFAS has 185 complaints (120 in the last 12 months) at BBB:

definitely a scam since their requesting eighty dollars for financial aid so please take my advice and stay away from this site considering on how much B.S. this is
This site is a legit site. I have been using this site for the last 3 years. I know I can use ***** for free but i use this site because it makes it convenient and provides me with the information I need in a timely manner.
I just read all these posts and am very worried. I spent all night long filling out info for my daughter trying to finish in time for the deadline, only to learn in the morning that I had used fafsa.com and not fafsa.gov. I went ahead and paid believing as they say that they check your form for errors, etc. I never received any confirmation that my fafsa ever reached the chosen schools. How do I verify that they were received in time? Also, how do I verify that they checked anything at all? In fact, when I called with a question, they did not know how to answer the question. I had to update my other child's fafsa on the .gov site and noticed that one section calculated differently than the same section on fafsa.com. I asked them to explain the difference and they could not.
Okay, you can do it for free, correct. That doesn't make it a scam - just a service. I found their help to be worth the money and peace of mind that my FAFSA was done right. Their availablility is excellent and the people are great. I cannot imagine why anyone would think they are phishing - they probably make damn good money just doing what they promise to do.
Blacklisted per my university's recommendation. You have to be really low to try to scam young people just trying to further their education. (to the people in charge of the site) It's worthless scum like you that make me ashamed to be a human being. One day you will perish and you will see how far your ill-earned money has gotten you...
Slimey site that takes the same five initials as the government site and rips you off by charging you for what the legitimate site gives you for free. Low lifes.
Make sure you go to www.FAFSA.ed.GOV
Beware the positive results, they probably are shills.
i've been using this service for the past few years, and i just used them to help me complete my fafsa for the ***** school year. they're a 3rd party service that helps you through the confusion of fillinf out a FAFSA on your own. you should go to the government website if you prefer to apply for financial aid independently, but this site does take a lot of the guess work out of it for you
Filled out all information thinking this was the government website when indeed it isn't. But that isn't the issue. Ever since filling out the information they have been spamming my e-mail inbox like none other and even after 3 repeated attempts to get them to stop they have not. i wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. it is just a ploy to get people to spend money.
They are attempting to charge you for filling out a form that the government will give out for free. There is no difference in the forms. It is similar to phishing, but because they are semi legitimate, I would just call it an ethical issue.
Guys, this site says that it is not the real FAFSA.gov. You aren't paying for scholarships, you're paying for someone to help fill out your FAFSA. Which they state you can do for free. Look at the site, people.
I cannot believe that the government nor Google can do anything about these types of websites... ***** is the official website for "Federal Financial Aid." Students are at high rish for identity theft and other crimes because of side like these...
