The game started out with good intentions, I think, but that was almost 10 years ago before the site was sold. After the original owner bought it back again, they just let it go to waste. Any educational value the site had, it disappeared at that point, along with any conscience whatsoever. They have corrupt administrators who let their friends get away with breaking the rules. They have players (mostly adults) looking to bankrupt players by asking astronomical prices for "rare" pets, and anything is rare if you say it often enough so people will believe you. They have players with usernames related to sex, and the admin just don't care. They allow copyright images into their virtual store. There hasn't been anything new (no new pets, no new games, etc.) to the site in over 3 years. Unless you pay for a membership, you can do very little on the site. Even with the membership, given the horrible economy encouraged by the admin/moderators, you can't really afford much of anything unless you save for years. Not to mention that even when you pay for the membership, there is no guarantee you will be able to cancel your account (many people report issues with not being able to cancel and no response at all from admin). Honestly, just let this one go.

So people came here who were depressed maybe they lost one of their own cat or dogs.. and now the old bait and switch. tada. $50 a year WTF? I'm considering filing with the BBB and I'd urge others to do the same as they've been a member since Jan 2010. And normally companies who are actually members get treated with more crap than those who aren't and it seriously needs it. Should have been a grandfather clause. Like some companies like older members are free but new members aren't. Alas nope. Avoid this rip off. Watch the real thing. Interact with the real thing. The day they start charging fore Facebook is the day it goes bye bye.

I can't agree with these ratings. This is a spam site. Someone joined the site falsely giving them my email address, for which i received a confirmation email. When I attempted to remove my address from their email list by clicking the link at the bottom of the message supposedly provided for that purpose, a page opened telling me that there was no such account. So I felt compelled to click on the link in the email in order to "activate" my account (which I'd never requested in the first place) just in order to get myself removed from their list, but even after doing so and apparently being logged in to my account, I still got the following message when clicking on the "unsubscribe" link: "Sorry, we could not find a matching account. Please login and go to your Profile to change your preferences." Well, guess what? As far as I can tell, there is NO LINK to EITHER a profile OR "preferences." So regardless if how "cute" and "kid friendly" some may consider this site, in my opinion it's clearly a commercial TRASH SPAM site.

This is a good site. It has playful pets with realistic features. It teaches people what it's like to have a pet. It also teaches the importance of how much money you can spend, in other words, watching your money. Now, one bad thing is the offers. You can do surveys to win Foobucks. Although, all the offers are sadly from unsafe websites.
