They basically sell books already in public domain and freely available in the Internet. In another words, some sites (like archive.org) spend money digitizing books and giving them for free; and this site mutilate these books (deleting pages) in order to make you pay for the whole book. It's not illegal, of course. Just unethical.

My personal experience with this site and the books they offer has only been good. They offer cheap editions of otherwise out of print books, and the process they use to reproduce them is quite good. I've been on the website and downloaded a few books. Always had a good experience with them, no viruses or shady goings-on.
