I find this site fascinating to work on genealogies with my grandchildren. Very educative and completely safe. Its a database in which you can enter your children, grandchildren, your parents and their ancestors etc. Back in 2001 I entered our family in this site. It so happens that I am part of a family which descends of a well known line, for which there is a book which tracks our genealogies way back. The site is maintained by a dear fellow who enters the data in the data base. I just communicated the data for my children, grandchildren and my parents, and gave the name of the book that traces my parents genealogy way back to the fellow who maintains the site Recently, one of my grandchildren had to do a paper on genealogies at school, so I just pointed my daughter to this site and told her how to find her genealogy. With the Internet address and just a few instructions, she can find our complete family line ! To do this, she goes to this site and enters her family name in the name box on the upper left and clicks search. And voila ! the name of all her children pops up. She can click on the name of one of her children and find its ancestors (herself, me, my mother etc etc !) Fascinating.
