'Get-rich-quick' scheme advertised by unsolicited email. Schemes of this kind promise that participants can make large amounts of money 'working at home' or doing 'binary trading'. Spam emails are used to advertise a wide variety of different kinds of schemes (or in some cases, the same scheme under different names, advertised using different websites and different introductory videos), but what they have in common is that they are effectively scams. Participants are required to pay to join or buy 'training materials' or pay 'fees', but never earn the large amounts of money they were promised. In some cases, people who pay a low initial fee will find that they have signed up for a larger recurring charge, which is charged to their credit card every month. Spam email advertising the schemes is sometimes sent by the originators of the scam, and sometimes by 'affiliates' of the scheme: often the only way to make any money in the scheme is to draw other people into it. The organizers of the scheme will often provide instructions and templates or software for use when sending spam promoting the scheme.
