google.ro is an official domain owned by Google. Of course, they're the best out there. Safe site and trusted sources for me. Be aware of the ad results. I wish there were better ways to contact the customer support/help/feedback team.

Google is great, however, when it comes to privacy, I wouldn't count on it. Google reads all your e-mails, sees all of your history and search data and now has a grip on your social activity. Also, it's a known fact that Google shares data with the NSA and other government agencies.
So, in terms of privacy, I wouldn't count on Google.
