Yes, that IS unfortunate. But, if the hat is truly out of acceptable size range, then a full refund will be applied. Each hat varies in size a little, so that is why I like to try them whenever possible. However, that is not possible when buying online.

I ordered two hats of the same size for my son. They arrived, both marked correctly as far as size. One of them was obviously too large. I measured the hat and it was 1/4 inch larger than the size the hat was marked with. I called hatland.com. They said they are not responsible for the quality of the hats. I can return it for a refund but they won't refund the shipping. Still looking for my refund. If it doesn't come soon, next stop: credit card company.
