If you are concerned about being spied on by corporations and your data given to the spy agencies. The point of view with the CEO of iab.net gets angry that people do not want to be tract on the INTERNET. Those of us who block ads will not be bullied. I fall into the moderate camp when it comes to advertising. I own my own site and it soon will have ads- and that is not being hypocritical. The real issue is the spying- the ads are only a symptom of that problem.
The internet needs a business model that has either paywalls, ads that aren't derived from spying or other creative solutions. It can be done.

the IAB has been vocal against web users who choose not to view ads in their computers, comparing them and adBlockers' developers to maritime thefts and murderers. They even implied people shouldn't have the power to avoid TV commercials.
