A Russian egg of modern USA "get your money" marketing. The .95 cent teaser turns into a 19.95 a month "trial".. and on and on. Managed finally to get the one report I wanted for 1.95$. Very scammy, though with some redeeming features. Namely, finding about all the crap that's out there, that you were assured was "private" when you gave it out. Some serious new privacy laws are needed..

Looks like Intelius is conducting a misleading operation. The LS is a data broker that builds and sells profiles of people by aggregating online and offline public data available for free, without asking people's permission. The sample reports showed as example are misleading because often Intelius often doesn't offer correct, updated and trustworthy information like it makes to believe. They are basically selling public data without verifying them. The billing info are non existent and buried in fine print and the user unlikely will understand how much and for what his credit card will be charged from the beginning. This site is pretty thorough in it's results while still providing privacy to those who so desire. I have opted out and found the process rather simple and quick. I can now search my name in several different ways and nothing comes up. Very good service for privacy.

This site does not have accurate information. It lists people who I have never heard of as my relatives. It also lists a murderer as my son's relative. I asked them to remove the misinformation and they refused. They obviously do not use credible sources for their information. Don't waste your money paying for any information from them.

This is a surprise to see so many negative comments. I have used this site extensively for the past few years using just the $1.99 deal to locate members of my church to forward their records. I have never had a problem, it is all public records, and it makes my job a lot easier. I have no problem with this site. If you upset about "free" you are not reading the information on the site.

I hope these comments are being read before ordering a report getting reverse phone number information. My wife's experience today: The site said that the report cost $4.99. My wife ordered a report, and when checking her bank balance later in the day she found she was charged $4.99 PLUS $19.99 for a subscription charge that was not mentioned. This has caused her checking to go to Overdraft. At this point we don't even know if the information we received is accurate. Definitely a site which is not to be trusted.

THEY TRIED TO STEAL MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT !!! I used this site for a fast look up of a phone number on a friend. They provided scant information, that you can get from whitepages. com. Then, a few days later, I get a call from my bank (Wells Fargo) asking me if I tried to debit $3600 and send it to match.com... HELL NO ! They got caught, because the debit card and account I used was only used for online purchases and only had a small amount of cash in it. INTELLIUS.COM was the only purchase I had made in many months. THEY NEED TO GO TO JAIL !!! Either that or get a letter bomb.

Why would anyone take the time to complain about a good experience, When I rate a company it comes from the experience, the truth and if it's good I will rave but when it's bad I'll let you know too! This site is the voice of the little folk, WE WILL BE HEARD!!!

Misleadingly suggests that it can provide more relevant information to a searching party than it actually can. You'd do far better to use search engines, state criminal records databases, etc. for whatever information you seek. Pricey, even without the rampant scamming others discuss.
