Ad-Aware is a great, free program, however, I'd be remiss in my comment without mentioning that it's become bloatware in the past years. Perhaps it's just a sign of the times: The more idiot, cyberspace jerk-offs, the more the necessity to write "heavier" software. But what do I know - I'm just a musician, and we all know what they say about musicians: "He's a musician".

I understand their intentions may be good - but - It really bothers me that Lavasoft uses their Ad-Aware product to send intrusive messages directly to my desktop and auto re-runs its software when you try to shut it down - this is not respectful and is suspicious activity. - Over time I am loosing my faith in this company to honor its privacy policy and protect my information. - Use caution when using their software.
