This place claims that they want to uphold the law but they use extremely questionable, and in many cases outright illegal, methods to do so. Their favorite tactic is filing DMCA claims. However, they're not the rights holder for any of these claims. Nor are they an authorized legal entity for the actual rights holders. Filing a DMCA claim against someone for content which you do not have the rights do is classified as perjury in the United States (whose laws they're using to do these takedowns) which is considered a felony. So they're breaking massive laws in their so-called crusade against piracy. They also don't understand that fair use exists, at all, and is, what I consider, a gigantic threat to democracy. Also, if you are a victim of a false DMCA claim of theirs in a fair use situation and your livelihood is threatened by it and you have no choice but to fight it, the law requires you reveal to LeakID all of your identifying details needed for official legal correspondence, in particular: Your name, your physical address. Even if they do not fight your counterclaim, they now know your personal details and that information can easily be exposed. So they can also be incredibly dangerous to people's personal safety.

LeakID goes around "reporting" files that supposedly "infringe upon copyright", even if the file is public domain or ***** out for this crap site... Excerpt from ***** "LeakID also ordered a Microsoft Office patch (freely available at Microsoft's website) be removed from this user's account."
