It became apparent from reading though the forum threads hosted by this site that many of its members who routinely post external links on the home page know little or nothing about what Linux is or how it works. Some, like Jim Lynch, Ron Miller, Liam Dawe, Gary Newell, and others, spam this site on a regular basis with external links to their own published writings in an attempt at self promotion to further their own careers. Readers should therefore exercise discrimination and judgment when examining external links posted on this site.
