I enjoy using mate1. Good site, good functionality. Looks a little outdated but seems to work and be safe. Obviously it's a dating site so I wouldn't be bringing my (hypothetical) kids or my friends kids on it, but I never encountered any adult material on the site.

As online dating sites go this is comparable with PoF. I have actually corresponded with some nice people and met for coffee - and even went on a few dates with one person. Not as many local singles as I would like but PoF can be that way as well as can OK Cupid (where I had only people wanting to have extra marital affairs). I have recommended it to my friends as well. As for my 'not suitable for children' rating - it's a dating site so of course it is not suitable for children.

This site provides a great service for people who are single and looking for a relationship. They cater to all types of needs/desires and are totally respectful of their clients. They have many success stories of long term relationships and have full trust certifications as well as security/safety policies for their members. Most likely they have received feedback from members who have not had any luck on their site.

This site has not given me any issues -- they make it very open it is not meant for children, and I have met a lot of interesting people on the site. While there are ads, they're tolerable. This isn't a safe for work site, but it was never advertised as such. Common sense is required when picking a partner, and while there are men that I'd have nothing to do with, there are also plenty of men who were interesting and I enjoyed getting to know.

Dating sites all have inhenrent issues - it is part of the industry. This site is no worse than the others and better in many ways since they offer good customer service and support and will happily assist anyone who contacts them resolve their issues
