An safe and fun Java-based game without any viruses, Single-player is kid-friendly, however Multi-player mostly don't have an language filter, which can result bad.
Game-play is fun, easy, well-balanced and still Creepers, an certain enemy in the game who tries to destroy everything you built, can scare the [LOL] out of you.

Game is Child Friendly, when it comes to single player, of course, there will always be problems and inappropriate things appearing on Multiplayer games, especially games that appear out of no where and are suddenly popular as Minecraft.

It is NOT over-priced, you can do millions of things with it, believe me, it's a new world.

Fun, low-cost game. Safe. Single-player and multi-player modes. Adjustable difficulty level, including "peaceful mode" with no monsters so you can concentrate on exploring, mining and creative building. Peaceful mode would be great for young kids too. Attractive and amusing 3D graphics. I especially like the effects for day, night, sunrise, sunset, moonrise, complete with square sun and moon. You move through a seamless world that is loaded in "chunks" as you explore, and is theoretically infinite.
