I signed up for the Greggs app only to receive an email “supposedly” from Greggs looking for further personal details... so I checked the full email address only to find that it wasn’t really from Greggs atall, hate scammers...thankfully I always check

Spam emails began recently on a behalf of another company in which I registered many years ago. However there is no evidence in the emails that they relate somehow and such kind of advertising was never accepted by me. Whilst the sender email domain is specified as ***** I can see in the messages details that email signature and real sender domain is msgfocus.com

Unsolicited spam on a non opt-in email address.

This site is not just spamming but doing it brazenly dishonestly. I've started getting spam from it, pretending to be coming from The Great Outdoors magazine. I did wonder whether that magazine, to which I'm a subscriber, was using Adestra to send me newsletter e-mails (which would be wrong anyway as I haven't opted for such e-mails), but actually the content of the e-mails is clearly not from TGO, though it uses some TGO content (I can only guess that it's stolen) for text-only rendition. The HTML version is all marketing to do with cars, which is nothing to do with TGO magazine. Best to block all mail coming from msgfocus.com! I shall also be 'having a word' with the TGO mag people concerning how my details got passed from the latter to the former (not very pleased!).

Spam to unconfirmed addresses. Appears to be an opt-out email advertiser.

Found in a spam message header. relay-8-239.msgfocus.com ([46.236.37.239]). Pretends to come from "searsbusiness.com". Nice try, we will block you, anyway.
3
"FISHER INVESTMENTS" continues to spam me near daily using this site. I have had ZERO contact with these jerks, and don't intend to. This site is a SPAM MONSTER.
3
Plain and simple spammers nothing more nothing less.

Unsolicited commercial message promoting educational services sent from http://www.msgfocus.com "The innovative CIO" "The who, what, when, where, & why" (Standford graduate school of business / executive education) - probably fake. Associated urls for html images: *****

I never gave THIS site permission to use my name and email. Yet some organisation that - at best - I entered a competition with - a certain radio station - gave them my personal data. Yet this STILL suspicious as I have a very strict anti-spam policy in place: Literally 100% of the time - without fail - I opt-OUT of marketing and of third-parties being allowed my info - if given the option, and I refuse to enter if NOT given the option to opt-out. So, this radio station passed my details to their email marketing contractor - in itself illegal as I gave only permission for "THEM" (the original organisation) to contact me, if at all. Too many organisations, even in ignorance or innocence, are naive about the importance of keeping tight control of personal data. Someone ought to serve up some tough legal action to force-remove the ignorance here.

have been using them for years they are responsive and support our user group

"permission based email service" - not true. The domain may be used by charities & companies for their newsletters but the mailing lists used have been compiled without permission. The UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, covering the sending of email marketing, states that organisations must only send marketing emails to individuals if the recipient has agreed to receive them, except where there is a clearly defined customer relationship. That's blatantly ignored by Adestra Ltd.

As far as I'm aware, msgfocus.com is used for the emails sent by the clients of Adestra. It's funny how some big publishing names happen to choose known spammers to work with: *****
1
"This site is operated by Adestra Ltd, a UK based company providing email newsletter and marketing services to a variety of clients". So they admit they are spammers.
6
The comments here are untrue. ***** is a legitimate, permission based email service provider domain.
2
Been using MessageFocus for years. A great tool!
3
Unsolicited commercial email. Sent to an address (deliberately) made publicly visible in a UK charity's record on ***** and used nowhere else.
6
This is a phishing site. They apparently got my name and email from a legitimate website and used it to send a spoof.
6
Just another spammer.
