Overall, I consider MyWoT a useful and informative site. I've contributed a great many ratings and comments here over the years.
However, a German investigation revealed that the MyWoT browser extension was used to collect records of user's browsing. The data generated was then sold without being adequately anonymized, creating very serious privacy risks for users. For a web reputation site that lists 'privacy risks' as a reason to be cautious when visiting a website, this is unacceptable.
See ***** for more.
They sell your information with user identifiable information to third parties without informing the user and is contrary to their own privacy policy. Also funny, you don't see any new reviews for this site, everything is 3-5 or more years old. Why do you suppose that would be?

Just posting again as my last post got deleted, just expressing my thoughts as i would for any other website.
Scumbags sell your browsing data, often containing enough data to identify you, to third parties without any consent from you. So much for "trust". Source: *****
"it turns out that the Web of Trust service collects extensive data about netizens' web browsing habits via its browser add-on and then sells them off to various third party companies."
Gosh. I think it is best to part with this extention and would recommend you do too!

This site has original content but also a lot of pirate content. This is a problem. But it also is, sometimes, the only archive of content long gone elsewhere on the web. So it can be a useful resource. Most of content is reliable but ethics of content is often questionable.
