Very informative site and the program is wonderful. It allows for constant updating of recommendations. However, anyone can add their two cents and some people even in this community can be malicious. Read more than one comment just to be safe. Then you can make a safe decision.

WOT has really lost a lot of creditability lately. I have found a lot of comments left by individuals who have to first hand knowledge on the sites and a adding negative comments to reputable sites. Also I have seen a lot of sites being marked as being not safe for kids without having any content that would be offense in anyway.
On a lot of affiliate websites people are posting negative remarks based on the industry even if the sites are not selling anything and are giving tips or information, people are putting it as a scam.

If you have a problem with a specific website's reputation, start a thread about it on the forum. Note that lots of people don't trust affiliate sites, especially if they are selling products that they consider to be fishy.
Site can be hacked by players. Has occurred numerous times.
