WOT cannot be trusted to give accurate,unbiased information. This rating game does much, much more harm than good. It can and is being used to shut down or seriously damage good sites, such as ***** Services like WOT could too easily be used as censorship tools to be used against sites which has content that WOT users find offensive to them, or whose content may be in contradiction to their agenda or beliefs. There are so many potential dangers of allowing communities of unqualified, anonymous users to judge web sites, such as to promote or bring down political agendas, religious beliefs, software developers, or businesses which may sell products or services which compete with other WOT user's products or content, or products and content they simply don’t happen to like. The things we should be concerned about and focus our attention on are fraudulent sites, sites that distribute malware, and phishing sites. We don’t need to go back to a time when a small group of fanatics decide for us what is acceptable and what is not. Anytime anyone tries to tell you what you are allowed to see and what you’re not – there’s a danger lurking – it’s called censorship and that is a danger and a risk to us all. This is not just about my website, it is about the lack of integrity and danger of services like WOT. WOT is in violation of morality and rationality and possibly the first amendment, bringing back haunting realities such as those of the Council if Nicaea where unqualified, divided people have the power to decide what and what not to censor from the public.
