This site is useful and child friendly. but a quick perusal of the EULA reveals some very frightening things.
"Assignability
WOT may freely assign and transfer this agreement to any third party."
This is in an EULA that includes a promise to do the minimum required under law and that I am not allowed to take any action aginst them. For the WOT itself this is not a problem, and I trust that the site itself is solid. but the transfer mixed with the requirements could kill any class action or other lawsuit I am ever in if a third party gains this EULA. Furthermore I need not be informed of this? While I believe that this site and it's creators are doing this in good faith, I am troubled by the EULA. As such I have an ethical problem with the sites actions. I have chosen to download the software because I believe it is useful, but I believe that this is something notice should be paid to.
Allows malicious people to publish lies about web sites, makes no effort to verify false claims about virues/malware/hate-material/etc, and provides no facility to remove false claims.
99.99999% of the ratings on this site are UNINFORMED. Seriously - how can any web visitor *really* know if a web site is trustworthy or not? They'd need to personally know the character of every person involved in running the site before being qualified to rate it!
I am glad that a service like WOT exists. Helps a lot of people getting the right information about the websites they visit and helps protects them from scams and other trouble that is prowling the internet of today!
