McAfee SiteAdvisor and their forum members often disagree over a site's rating, and it sometimes seems that the McAfee rating is less credible than it should be; however: - McAfee claim to have found the "BackDoor-CEP trojan" to be associated with the file "chatdemo.exe" - B S Darby disapproves of the McAfee rating: Rating: This site is good "It's a forensics site, of COURSE you will have downloads that look dicey. Posted at 11/06/2009-10:52:14 AM by BSDarby, View reviewer's profile: ***** Sadly, I do not know what a forensics site should look like, but 'paraben-forensics > Home' offers: 'Products', 'Training', 'Services', 'About Us', 'Our Websites', 'Support', 'Forum', 'News', 'Register', 'User Area'; and 'paraben-forensics > Products' offers choices between: 'Subscriptions', 'Software', 'Hardware', 'Bundles', 'Training', 'Free Software', 'Misc.', and 'My Account', 'Cart Contents', 'Checkout' I haven't done a count, but, where McAfee claim to have found nine "green" downloads, and one "red", Paraben list at least thirty products, bundles, and kits, plus two 'forensic solutions' for corporate LANs, on their home page! All untested, and all unrated.
