I don't know how they got my credit card, but somehow--on Christmas Day, yet--they said I signed up for their credit score check service. When I canceled, Sean in customer service, first said they would credit only the 1.00 "processing fee", the 29.95 charge which resulted because I didn't cancel within 7 days (I didn't know I'd signed up) would stand because I didn't follow the policies. When I said I would be disputing the matter with my cc company, she immediately said she would see if an exception could be made. And of course it got canceled. What I don't understand is how they got my credit card number...must research.

McAfee SiteAdvisor is a sham. Have a look at this. http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/privacymatters.com/ These people called me from ***** about a credit card I never owned which makes me eligible for some identify protection service. This is a classic scam.
