Not very safe since some websites that they post may have malware, and it's also not very safe for children (especcially on some specific subreddits).

Links and stories are voted upon in "subreddits" that are devoted to a particular topic. Some NSFW, but clearly marked and pretty much exclusively in certain subreddits.
Pretty awesome site, a community for everyone.
It is hilarious too. (when people aren't fighting)
